The Monthly Financial Update gives our readers an inside look at the allocation and performance of our personal portfolio. At the beginning of each month, we share a snapshot of our investments and highlight their performance over the previous month. In addition, we compute our progress towards achieving our retirement number.
Digging Out Of The Hole
Although not as staggeringly large as last month's growth rate, our portfolio made some really good progress this month. In fact, solid capital gains paired with regular contributions has allowed us to steadily dig ourselves out of the hole that was created when the market entered bear territory a few months ago. As a result, we have now hit a new all-time high!! We are closer to our retirement number than we've ever been! Things are definitely looking up!
Results:
7.62% month-over-month growth
70.8% of retirement number saved
